Update! I received the Pyle-Pro drivers and woofers for the Crate PE10's and replaced them last week. They are awesome! I had to re-drill the plastic horn to provide holes that would fit the new PMW10A drivers - but once I created a template with a piece of paper for the correct hole locations - it was a snap! I simply drilled the holes, mounted the drivers - installed the horns and the woofers - hooked up the wiring and the speakers now sound great! Not too bad for $25.00 per speaker!

These speakers are excellent for the money! If you're on a tight budget or just need a single stage monitor, this speaker is the ticket. I've heard them in action and they are powerful and clean - I really think it would be difficult to go wrong with this one. Behringer has done it again, a great little product for a small amount of money!

I currently own two Bose L1 Compacts and I absolutely love them! The sound quality is tremendous and for their size they pack quite a punch. I use them for karaoke, dj, and acoustic live performances. I would highly recommend them for these uses. They are extremely portable (this is the main reason I wanted them - to downsize my system without loosing quality). I can now fit my entire system in the trunk of my car! I use them with an Alesis Multimix 8 USB 2.0 mixer (one left / one right) and it works perfectly. I have also used only one unit on several occasions when I was playing a small room - again - it sounds brilliant!

I've owned a pair of Mackie SRM450's and loved them. They are extremely clear and powerful. They can be used as mains or as monitors. I used them outdoors and indoors and was always very happy with their performance. The only downside is that they are a bit heavy and cumbersome. I believe the newer version 2 of the speaker is lighter - so if I were to purchase another set I would get the newer version. I sold these to downsize my setup and purchased a pair of Bose L1 Compacts which I'm also very happy with. Don't hesitate to buy this pro audio speaker!
